This Privacy Policy explains how DiaBEATable ("DiaBEATable," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit diabeatable.in or engage with our content and paid programs (together, the "Platform").
This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), and rules made thereunder. No physical or digital signature is required.
By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Personal information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, when you contact us, subscribe to updates, or enrol in a paid Program.
- Health-related information, such as details about your diabetes status, weight, lifestyle, or metabolic health goals, if you voluntarily share this with us as part of a Program or consultation. We treat this as sensitive personal data and handle it with additional care as described below.
- Payment information, processed via our third-party payment gateway when you purchase a Program. We do not store full card or bank details on our own servers.
- Usage and technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on the Platform, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver, manage, and improve our content and paid Programs;
- Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
- Send you programme updates, educational content, or promotional communications (you may opt out at any time);
- Process payments and manage enrolments;
- Analyse usage of the Platform to improve our content and user experience;
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Sensitive Personal Data / Health Information
Where you choose to share health-related information with us, we collect and use it solely to provide the relevant Program or respond to your query. We do not sell health information to third parties. We may share it with programme coaches or partners strictly on a need-to-know basis to deliver the Program you have enrolled in.
3A. Health Snapshot and flip-card quiz
The Health Snapshot and the flip-card quiz on our home page work in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, stored on our servers or linked to you unless you choose to share them.
If you press "Share with Dr Bhatia", tick the consent box and continue, the page prepares a WhatsApp message containing your name, age, sex, your answers and the summary you saw. It also includes your phone number and email address, but only if you entered them. The message is sent only when you press Send in WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a third-party service that handles messages under its own terms and privacy policy, and your WhatsApp phone number will be visible to us when we receive your message.
We use what you share only to respond to you and to discuss a possible consultation. We may keep the conversation as part of your enquiry record until you ask us to delete it. You can withdraw consent or ask for deletion at any time by writing to dr@saurabhbhatia.com. The Health Snapshot and quiz are for education only. They are not a diagnosis or medical advice.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to recognise repeat visitors, understand how the Platform is used, and improve functionality. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; note that some features of the Platform may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, email, payment processing, analytics), under confidentiality obligations;
- Programme coaches or partners involved in delivering a Program you have enrolled in;

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your data at any time, as described in Section 8 below.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including restricted access and secure storage practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Withdraw consent to processing at any time (which may affect our ability to provide certain Programs or services to you);

9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
